& Rights

Every entry in the Field Guide aims to carry a photo, and every published image comes from one of the approved sources below and displays a visible rights tag. We do not publish images we are not licensed to use.

Approved sources

1. Original photography. Your own work, submitted under the Contributor Agreement. This is the preferred source, especially for watches no brand program reaches.
2. Creative Commons, commercial-friendly only. Images licensed CC0, CC BY, or CC BY-SA. Because the Field Guide carries advertising, we cannot use Non-Commercial (NC) images. We credit exactly as the license requires.
3. Official press images. Manufacturer or brand product images used with the brand's written permission, within the terms they grant, normally editorial use with credit.

Not accepted

• Images copied or scraped from brand, retailer, or marketplace sites without written permission.
• Images taken from other publications, forums, social media, or auction listings.
• Stock or watermarked images without a valid license.

Attribution

Each image shows its rights basis: "Contributor photo, © [name]", "CC BY [name], via [source]", or "© [Brand], used with permission". This mirrors the rights field stored against every reference in the catalog.

Takedown

If you believe an image infringes your rights, contact rights@[domain]. We review promptly and remove on a valid claim. [Register a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office to secure safe-harbor protection for user-contributed content.]

By submitting a photo, review, or other content (a "Contribution") to the Titanium Field Guide ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

   You are at least 18 years old.

2. Your ownership

   You created the Contribution yourself. For photos, you took the photograph. For reviews, the words are your own. The Contribution does not copy or infringe anyone else's work.

3. License you grant us

   You keep ownership of your Contribution. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, adapt for sizing and formatting, and distribute the Contribution on the Titanium Field Guide and in promotion of it.

   Optional · encyclopedia modeIf enabled, we also publish contributed photos under CC BY-SA 4.0 so others may reuse them with credit and share-alike. This maximizes reach and durability but means your photo can be reused off-site. Decide before launch and state it plainly here.
4. Credit

   We credit you by the name you provide and may display that credit alongside your Contribution.

5. Reviews

   Your review must be your genuine, first-hand opinion. Do not post anything false or defamatory. Disclose any payment, free product, or relationship with a brand, as the FTC requires. We may edit for length, clarity, or policy, or decline to publish.

6. Photos

   Submit only your own photographs. Do not include other people without their consent, or copyrighted artwork or material you do not control. The watch itself and its markings are fine. We may strip location and EXIF data for your privacy.

7. What you may not submit

   Anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, promotional spam, or that violates the Image Sourcing Policy.

8. Removal

   We may remove or decline any Contribution at our discretion. You may request removal of your own Contribution and we will take it down going forward, though copies already distributed may remain.

9. No payment

   Contributions are voluntary and unpaid.

10. Responsibility

    You are responsible for your Contributions and for holding the rights you grant here. [Add a proportionate indemnity clause for third-party claims arising from your Contribution.]

11. Changes

    We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here.
