Railroad timekeeping made Hamilton's name: founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1892, it built pocket watches accurate enough for the American railroads, and went on to supply the US and British militaries. It credits itself with the first electric watch, the Ventura of 1957, and the first digital one, the Pulsar, and its long run of film appearances has earned it the name the Movie Brand. Hamilton is now Swiss made and part of the Swatch Group, as Monochrome notes, and its titanium runs through the Khaki line. The Khaki Field Titanium comes in 38 and 42 mm cases that Monochrome reports in brushed Grade 2, some coated in black PVD, around the H-10, an automatic built on the ETA 2824 with an 80-hour reserve and a Nivachron balance spring, and the Khaki Navy BeLOWZERO diver is offered in titanium as well. The bronze Khaki Field Mechanical sits on a titanium caseback, so the bronze stays off the skin.
