Titanium research

The Titanium Field Guide is a research programme as much as a catalog. We run the numbers on the whole titanium market and publish what we find, with every entry behind them verified against the maker, dated, and free to cite with a link. Here is the work so far, with a new edition of the survey every year.

Every edition

The State of Titanium is an annual. Each edition is frozen to its dataset cutoff, so a number cited from it does not move afterward, and older editions stay published at their own address rather than being overwritten. Freshness comes from publishing the next edition rather than from this year's numbers shifting under a citation.

How the data is made, and how to use it

Every watch in the catalog behind these studies is checked for titanium content as an exact material token on the maker's own spec page, sourced, dated, and confidence-graded. Where a figure is unstated we record the absence rather than infer a value, which is why the disclosure results are findings rather than gaps. The full rules are on the methodology page, and each report carries its own methodology appendix and a version history.

Specifications and the aggregate figures in these studies are facts and free to cite with a link to the study. If you are writing about titanium and want the underlying numbers, the grade report ships a brand-level CSV, and both reports are built to be quoted.
