Monovant is an independent company founded in Athens in 2024. It designs its watches and builds them through partners, with a multi-generational master watchmaker assembling them in Greece and the precision engineering done at Swiss and other international facilities. The discontinued Kosta paired a steel case and a zebra jasper dial with virtual counterparts for online worlds, and the current range is built on the Rheon, a tonneau case the brand says draws on 1970s avant-garde style. The 40 mm Rheon Bronze is made in what Monovant calls marine-grade bronze, which it says ages to a warm gold-brown patina rather than green verdigris; Monochrome's specification gives the alloy as QAl9-4, an aluminium bronze, and the caseback is engraved Grade 5 titanium with an owl motif. It ran to 50 pieces in each of two fumé dials, brown and blue, on a Sellita SW200-1, and both have sold out.
