Vintage VDB bronze watches
The Titanium Field Guide lists 3 Vintage VDB watches. None is titanium: they are bronze. They span dive and chronograph designs. Every entry is verified for its case material, and each one cites its source alongside the date it was last checked.

Vintage VDB is the Erfurt workshop of Stephan Obst, who by the brand's own account gave up salaried work in 2008, without training as a watchmaker, to build military watches modelled on historical pilot's and diver's pieces. The vdb I followed in 2009 and sold out within weeks, and the first proper series, the vdb 2011, ran to 200 pieces. The letters stand for vintage and daily beater. Production has stayed in Thuringia, where the maker says every component apart from the movement is made by hand, case, dial, hands, strap and clasp included, and each series or custom piece is built once, then recorded in its Book of Legends rather than remade. Bronze is the material it talks about most, describing a special alloy shared with Formula 1 without naming it, and it lists Damascus steel, tantalum, carbon and ceramic alongside steel. The cases run large, though Total Design Reviews, wearing the 47 mm No Limit Bronze in 2015, still found it comfortable enough to recommend for daily use.

What the catalog shows about Vintage VDB
It states a standard alloy grade on none of its titanium references, against 45 percent across the catalog, so the alloy behind its titanium is rarely if ever named.
Derived from the 3 references below, recomputed on every update, and printed only where a measurement stands apart from the rest of the catalog.
