Le Jour is a revived name, and Worn & Wound's account of the original describes a French distributor best known in Europe for chronographs Heuer made for it under private label, including the 7203, its version of Heuer's Pasadena, before the brand went under in the quartz crisis and its rights changed hands several times. The current company's brand story remembers the old Le Jour for Valjoux chronographs on aviation, marine and motorsport themes. Its range today, sold from lejourwatches.ch, is built mostly in 316L steel around Swiss Sellita, ETA and Valjoux movements, from barrel-cased chronographs to divers and GMTs. Bronze appears in two models, the 39 mm Hammerhead Bronze diver and the 45 mm Flieger Bronze pilot's watch, both with cases the maker lists as CuSn8 grade bronze and both running a Sellita SW200; the Flieger closes with a stainless steel caseback in a rose gold IP finish. Worn & Wound read the steel Hammerhead of 2020 as a faithful revival of the cushion-cased divers of the 1970s.
