Titanium comes out of the machine a soft grey, and about four in five references keep it. The rest are finished in another colour, and this is what that looks like across the catalog. A watch turns black under a DLC coating, gold or rose under an ion-plated one, blue when the case is ceramized or heat-treated, and, rarest of all, many colours at once when the metal is forged into Damascus or Timascus.

Colour on the dial
The case is only half the story, and the smaller half. A titanium case usually stays grey while the colour goes on the dial, so a watch can be as loud as anything here and still count as grey by the case measure above. 561 offered titanium references, about 39 in every hundred, carry a bold dial colour, and 173 wear two or more at once. Damascus and Timascus
The most striking finish is also the rarest. Forged Damascus titanium and its heat-coloured cousin Timascus are not one colour but a rippled grain of many, unique to each case, so they sit outside the colour counts above. The guide holds 7 of them. This is the one corner of the colour story where the photography is thin, 4 of the 7 carry a maker image so far, with the rest held by makers whose sites the guide cannot reach or who have not published a clean frame.

How this is measured
Case colour is read from the structured colour verdict on each record, counted over currently offered titanium references, and it recomputes on every build as the catalog grows. Damascus and Timascus are counted from the stated finish rather than a colour, because a forged grain is many colours at once.
