Titanium comes out of the machine a soft grey, and 81 percent of current references keep it. The rest are finished in another colour, and this is what that looks like across the catalog. A watch turns black under a DLC coating, gold or rose under an ion-plated one, blue when the case is ceramized or heat-treated, and, rarest of all, many colours at once when the metal is forged into Damascus or Timascus.
Colour here is a whole-case verdict, so a black watch has a black case rather than a black bezel on a grey one, and a blue dial in a grey case does not count as a blue watch. The grey majority is the point of departure: what follows is the fifth of the market that leaves it.

Colour on the dial
The case is only half the story, and the smaller half. A titanium case usually stays grey while the colour goes on the dial, so a watch can be as loud as anything here and still count as grey by the case measure above. 650 offered titanium references, about 39 in every hundred, carry a bold dial colour, and 209 wear two or more at once. Damascus and Timascus
The most striking finish is also the rarest. Forged Damascus titanium and its heat-coloured cousin Timascus are not one colour but a rippled grain of many, unique to each case, so they sit outside the colour counts above. The guide holds 7 of them. All but one carry a maker image so far, and the one without is held by a maker whose site the guide cannot reach or who has not published a clean frame.

How this is measured
Case colour is read from the structured colour verdict on each record, counted over currently offered titanium references, and it recomputes on every build as the catalog grows. Damascus and Timascus are counted from the stated finish rather than a colour, because a forged grain is many colours at once.
