Batiscafo Quadro45 Bronze
Batiscafo is the watch project of the car and product designer Andrei Trofimtchouk, first funded on Kickstarter, and the Quadro45 is a cushion-cased bronze diver in the military style. The case is CuSn8 bronze, which will darken and patina with wear, with the numerals etched into the case itself, and it measures 45 mm across and is rated to 200 m. The caseback is stainless steel, which keeps bronze off the skin but means the watch is not nickel-free. Inside is a PT5000, a Chinese automatic built to the pattern of the ETA 2824 and interchangeable with it, which makes servicing straightforward. This one has a blue dial and comes on a handmade canvas strap with a bronze buckle. The maker no longer lists it.
