BYOP Meridian Titanium GMT

BYOP stands for Be Your Own Pilot, and the Meridian is the small American brand's titanium GMT pilot's watch, made in a run of only 100 pieces with a choice of yellow, orange or red GMT hand. The case is 39 mm across, 46.5 mm lug to lug and 12.5 mm thick, in bead-blasted Grade 2 titanium with a screw-in crown, and the finish gives it a warm, military look. The black dial carries the 12 hours in the centre and the 24-hour scale on an inner ring for the GMT hand, with Swiss Super-LumiNova on the numerals, indices and hands. Inside is the Seiko-made NH34 automatic, with hacking seconds and a date at 4:30, visible through a sapphire window in the screwed caseback. It comes on hand-stitched black leather, plus a canvas strap while supplies last, for $359.
