Graham Chronofighter Vintage Bronze
Graham's Chronofighter is built around its trigger, a lever on the left flank that starts and stops the chronograph under the thumb, with the crown on the same side so nothing on the right digs into the wrist when it flexes. The Vintage draws on military pilots' watches of the 1940s, and this one sets a black sunbrushed dial with gold-toned hands and indices in a 44 mm case of CuSn8 bronze, an alloy Graham notes the naval industry uses, sandblasted and satin-brushed, with the bezel and trigger in bronze as well. The movement is the automatic G1747, which Monochrome describes as a modified Valjoux 7750, with day and date at nine o'clock and 48 hours of reserve, seen through a sapphire caseback. Escapement found the 44 mm case comfortable rather than cumbersome when it reviewed the bronze model in 2020. Graham assembles it to order in three to four weeks, and it lists at $7,950.
Written 10 October 2026 from Graham's product page, Graham's technical sheet, Escapement's review and Monochrome's hands-on of the steel Chronofighter Vintage.
