Trilobe Nuit Fantastique Secret (titanium)

The Nuit Fantastique has no hands: three discs turn counterclockwise past a fixed marker, the largest for hours and the smallest for seconds, the display the French maker Trilobe is built on. The Secret edition, which Watchonista covered in steel, printed the lacquered dial with the stars over a place, date and time the buyer chose. This version put that dial in a Grade 5 titanium case 40.5 mm across, 9.2 mm thick and 48 mm lug to lug, with sapphire front and back and 50 m of water resistance. The X-Centric movement is a micro-rotor automatic with 48 hours of reserve, which Time+Tide traces to Le Cercle des Horlogers. Writing about titanium siblings, Time+Tide found the watch wears larger than its size because no bezel frames the open dial. Trilobe now offers the Secret only on the Trente-Deux, in steel or rose gold, so this titanium version is a watch to find used.
