Archimede Pilot 42 A TITAN.LS (titanium)

Archimede is the house brand of Ickler, a Pforzheim case maker that Karl Ickler founded in 1924; Watch Report's introduction to the brand dates the watches to 2003 and described the company in 2012 as still run by the Ickler family. The case here is Ickler's own, made in Pforzheim in brushed titanium, and at 42 mm across it is only 9.8 mm thick, with 51 mm from lug to lug. The black dial has luminous numerals and indices and a date at six, which is what separates this reference, UA7929-A1.1-TI, from a no-date version Archimede sells under the same name. The movement is ETA's 2824-2 automatic, seen through a screw-down sapphire caseback, and the case is water resistant to 10 ATM under a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside. It comes on a black leather strap with white stitching and lists at EUR 1,060.
