Christopher Ward C65 Dune Aeolian Bronze

The C65 Dune is Christopher Ward's field watch, named for the Dune du Pilat in Aquitaine, and the Aeolian Bronze is its bronze version, 38 mm across, 11.9 mm thick and 43.6 mm lug to lug, rated to 150 m. The case will patinate over time, while the dial is a three-dimensional pattern of stamped horizontal waves, around two dozen peaks and troughs, which on the Bronze alone combines a matte finish with a gradient that darkens toward the edge. It comes in beachgrass green or dusk brown, with polished indices and hands filled with Old Radium Super-LumiNova under a glass-box sapphire. Inside is the COSC-certified chronometer version of the Sellita SW200 with 38 hours of reserve, and the caseback, engraved with a serial number, is steel, so it is not nickel-free. It comes on a leather strap with quick-release bars.
