Czapek Antarctique Titanium Dark Sector Cosmic Blue

The Antarctique is the integrated-bracelet sports watch Czapek, the Geneva independent, launched in 2020, and the Dark Sector dial has no hour markers as such: two concentric rings of segments run round the dial and the twelve gaps between them mark the hours. aBlogtoWatch, covering the first grey titanium version in 2023, traced the name to the Dark Sector Laboratory at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. This Cosmic Blue edition has a velouté blue brass dial and is limited to 25 pieces. Czapek's technical file puts case and bracelet in Grade 5 titanium, 40.5 mm across, 10.6 mm thick and 44.5 mm lug to lug, water resistant to 120 m. The bracelet has a micro-adjust system and Czapek's Easy Release, and a rubber strap is included. Inside is the in-house SXH5, a micro-rotor automatic with a recycled platinum rotor and 60 hours of reserve, seen through a sapphire caseback. Czapek lists it at CHF 32,000 before VAT, and its US store asks USD 44,800 including US taxes and shipping.
