Helm Vanuatu Titanium

Helm is a small American brand that makes tool watches, and the Vanuatu Ti is its titanium one: brushed Grade 2 titanium, 300 m, and tested to the ISO 6425 dive-watch standard rather than simply rated. The 120-click bezel carries a ceramic insert over a PVD-coated steel ring, so the watch is not entirely titanium and the guide does not mark it nickel-free. The case is 42 mm across, 14 mm thick and 50 mm lug to lug, which wears big, and on the titanium bracelet it weighs 145 g at full length, against 90 g on the nylon strap. Seiko's NH35 runs it. For $350 you get a flat sapphire crystal, BGW9 lume and a titanium bracelet with a titanium clasp, which is hard to match. Helm builds in limited batches, so expect a waitlist.
