Mühle-Glashütte Yacht-Timer Bronze
Mühle-Glashütte still trades as a maker of nautical instruments and precision mechanics, and the Yacht-Timer Bronze was one of its limited bronze special editions, released in 2018 in a run of 500 according to Gear Patrol. The 44 mm case is aluminium bronze, the alloy shipbuilders use for propellers, and Mühle says it chose bronze for these editions because the patina makes every case age differently. It shipped vacuum-packed so the patina would start only once the owner opened it, and Mühle notes a service can restore a darkened case, though each refurbishment removes some metal. The dial is blue, the strap is textile, the crown sits at four o'clock, and Gear Patrol gave it 300 m of water resistance. Wristreview described the movement as a Sellita SW200-1 rebuilt with Mühle's woodpecker-neck regulator, with a quick-set date and 38 hours of reserve. Mühle has no bronze watch in its current collection, so this one is now found used.
