Seiko Prospex Shogun Titanium (SPB191)

The Shogun is the Seiko titanium diver collectors named for its armoured look, with broad shoulders, sharp crown guards and a deeply notched bezel. The original, the SBDC007, was sold mostly in Japan, and in 2020 Seiko brought the design back worldwide as the SPB189 in black on a bracelet and this SPB191 in white on a black silicone strap. The case is brushed titanium with Seiko's super-hard coating, 43.5 mm across, 13.3 mm thick and 51 mm lug to lug, and even the bezel is titanium. Monochrome noted it weighs 99 g on the strap, against 205 g for a steel King Samurai. Inside is Seiko's 6R35 automatic with 70 hours of reserve and a date under a magnifier, and it is rated to 200 m. It lists at $1,200.
