Straum Jan Mayen Titanium

Designed in Norway and made in Switzerland, the Jan Mayen is Straum's integrated sports watch, named for a volcanic Arctic island. In titanium the case is bead-blasted Grade 5 with polished bevels, 38.7 mm across, 11.5 mm thick including the double-domed sapphire and 45.7 mm lug to lug, with a screw-down crown and 100 m of water resistance. Inside is La Joux-Perret's G101 in Soigné grade, a true no-date calibre with 68 hours of reserve. The rubber strap attaches through the Straum Coupling, a push-button quick release in a titanium mid-link. A Grade 5 titanium bracelet with a 4 mm micro-adjust butterfly clasp arrived in 2026 with the Frozen Metal dial and fits earlier titanium Jan Mayens too. Time+Tide, wearing the Purple Borealis on rubber, found it light enough to nearly forget. In the US it lists at $2,500 on rubber, taxes and duties included.
