Behrens KWH x Vianney Halter (Ceramic, Aqua Green)

Behrens is a Chinese independent founded in 2012 by Lin Bingqiang, who made parts and modules in Shenzhen before founding Behrens, and the KWH, designed with Vianney Halter, is its most ambitious watch. It is modelled on an old electricity meter: the hours are shown by a chain-driven display, and minutes and power reserve turn on rotating cylinders, with a moon and calendar on the back, all from a manual movement of 870 parts. This version is in hand-polished zirconia ceramic in Aqua Green, which makes it lighter and far more scratch-resistant than the gold versions. The case is 35 mm wide, 41 mm long and 10.9 mm thick, rated to 30 m. It is limited to 90 pieces at $30,800.
