Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Tech Date Titanium

The Fifty Fathoms Tech 5019A takes the rebreather dive watch Blancpain first made as the Tech Gombessa in 2023 and turns it into a permanent-collection piece with a date. The point is the three-hour dive scale, patented by Blancpain CEO Marc A. Hayek with the underwater photographer Laurent Ballesta: an orange hand borrows the GMT principle but circles the dial once every three hours, and you align the bezel with it at the start of a long closed-circuit dive. The case is Grade 23 titanium, 47 mm across and 14.81 mm thick, rated to 300 m with a helium valve. Monochrome found it wears smaller than those numbers thanks to the light metal and a central lug that lets the strap drop around the wrist. The black dial absorbs up to 97% of light, and the 13P5A automatic runs for 120 hours behind a sapphire back. It comes on orange rubber, with black and white straps sold separately.
