Citizen Zenshin Super Titanium Automatic

Citizen was the first company to sell a titanium watch, in 1970, and its Super Titanium adds the Duratect surface hardening that Monochrome puts at about five times the hardness of stainless steel. The NJ0180 brings it to an affordable 1980s-style integrated sports watch, which Monochrome called almost a titanium Tsuyosa: a sharp barrel-shaped case 40.5 mm across and 11 mm thick with a polished round bezel, a crown at 3 o'clock and 100 m of water resistance. The dial has an icy scratched texture, here in green, with a snailed minute track, a small seconds sub-dial in an unusual position, a bevelled date frame and lume on the raised markers and hands. The Citizen 8213 automatic beats at 3 Hz with about 40 hours of reserve and shows through a mineral caseback window. It comes on an integrated Super Titanium bracelet with a folding clasp, and weighs 103 g.
