Earthen Co. Summit Whiteout MK II

Earthen Co. is a Hong Kong brand built around ceramic cases, and the Summit brings a full ceramic case to a field watch under $1,000. The Whiteout is the white one, meant to vanish into snow: 38 mm across, 10 mm thick and 45 mm lug to lug, deeply brushed on the sides and lugs, radially brushed on the sloping bezel, with polished chamfers. aBlogtoWatch found it featherweight on the wrist but noted that the white makes it look closer to 40 mm, and that Earthen does not say what type of ceramic it is. The matte black dial follows the Mark XI pattern, with squared-off hour hand, sword minutes, an inverted triangle at 12 and vintage-toned lume, and a ring counterweight on the seconds that frames the logo at 6 once a minute. The Miyota 9039 is a no-date automatic with 42 hours of reserve. It costs $899.
