Farer Pilot Series II

Farer redesigned its pilot's watches from the ground up for Series II, and the new case is Grade 2 titanium, 40 mm across but only 43 mm lug to lug and 10.9 mm thick, so it wears small. The finish is matte bead-blasting, with a coin-edged brushed bezel as the only decoration, and an oversized conical crown that can be turned with gloves on. The three dials, Curtis, Barnwell and Hewlett, keep the traditional flieger layout with oversized markers and lozenge hands but in Farer's unexpected colours. A Sellita SW300-1 runs it with 56 hours of reserve and no date, inside a soft-iron Faraday cage that protects it from magnetism. It comes on leather with a titanium buckle and lists at $1,525.
