Grand Seiko Heritage "Shunbun"

The SBGA413 reworks the case of the 62GS, Grand Seiko's first automatic of 1967, which had no bezel: the crystal is fixed straight to the case, which thins the look and lets light into the dial from more angles. Its soft pink dial depicts hana-ikada, cherry blossoms in full bloom floating down a river around the spring equinox, one of the 24 seasonal phases of the traditional Japanese year. It was sold only in the US from 2019 before joining a worldwide four-seasons collection. The case and bracelet are high-intensity titanium, 40 mm across, 47 mm lug to lug and 12.8 mm thick under a box-shaped sapphire, and the watch weighs 102 g. Inside is the 9R65, the first Grand Seiko Spring Drive calibre, with a power-reserve indicator, about 72 hours and plus or minus 15 seconds a month, shown through a sapphire back.
