IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Ceratanium (IW503604)

The IW503604 was IWC's first watch made entirely of Ceratanium, case and bracelet alike. Ceratanium starts as a titanium alloy made for IWC and is sintered so that its surface turns into a ceramic-like layer bonded to the metal, so the matte black is a change in the material rather than a coating, lighter than steel and resistant to scratches. The case is 46.2 mm across and 15.4 mm high, with the diamond-shaped screw-in crown and a crystal secured against drops in air pressure. The dial carries Kurt Klaus's perpetual calendar, showing date, day, month, four-digit year and a double moonphase for both hemispheres, with a power-reserve display and small seconds. The 52615 automatic, wound by a Pellaton system, runs seven days on two barrels behind a tinted sapphire back. The bracelet has H-shaped links and a fine-adjust clasp. Production is 150 a year, at EUR 46,800.
