Panerai Luminor Marina Bronzo

Panerai helped start the fashion for bronze watches with the Luminor Submersible 1950 Bronzo PAM00382 of 2011, and the PAM01678 is the first bronze Luminor Marina, part of the new generation of the line introduced at Watches and Wonders 2025. The bronze is Panerai's own alloy of copper and tin, brushed, and forms a protective patina over time. The 44 mm case follows the new, slimmer Marina proportions at 13.7 mm thick, keeps the crown-protecting bridge and is rated to 500 m, and its titanium caseback has a sapphire window onto the movement. The blue sandwich dial shades from navy at the edge to a lighter blue in the centre, with beige Super-LumiNova in the cut-out numerals and hands, small seconds at 9 and no date. Inside is the in-house P.980 automatic with three days of reserve. It comes on blue calfskin and blue rubber straps with a bronze buckle, at $18,000.
