Rado HyperChrome Automatic Open Heart

Rado calls the HyperChrome Automatic its dynamic, sporty line, and this Open Heart puts a 42 mm case, 10.2 mm thick, in plasma high-tech ceramic, the metallic grey Rado produces by treating white ceramic with ionised gas at up to 20,000°C rather than by adding metal. The case is not ceramic alone: Rado's specification lists PVD-coated stainless steel and titanium in it alongside the plasma ceramic. The grey dial is cut open over the R734 automatic, which has an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring and 80 hours of reserve, and a sapphire window in the titanium caseback shows the movement from behind. The bracelet is plasma ceramic as well, closing on a titanium three-fold clasp, and the watch weighs 128 g. Rado's US store no longer sells it, though its international and UK sites still list the reference.
