Timex Expedition Titanium 38mm

The Expedition is Timex's long-running outdoor line, and this version puts it in a 38 mm titanium case, 12.5 mm thick and 46 mm lug to lug, bead-blasted and built to be shock-resistant. The water resistance is 200 m, which is unusual for a field watch at this price, and Timex gets there with a screw-down crown, a screw-on caseback and a guard around the crown. The dial is light grey with a date at 3 o'clock and luminous hands, under a sapphire crystal, and it runs on a Timex quartz movement. The strap is smooth Italian leather with contrast stitching, from a tannery gold-rated by the Leather Working Group, and on it the watch weighs 46 g. It costs $299.
