Titan Edge UltraSlim Mechanical

Titan, the Indian watchmaker best known for affordable watches, has used the Edge name for its thin watches since the quartz original of 2002. The UltraSlim Mechanical takes that idea further: a hand-wound movement made in-house, the Edge 903, in a Grade 2 titanium case 40 mm across and only 5.7 mm thick. To keep it that slim there are no hands. Two rotating discs show the hours and minutes, which Monochrome notes is an idea Ressence has also explored, and it gives the plain white or charcoal dial a quiet, unusual look. A cup-shaped sapphire crystal sits on top and an exhibition caseback shows the movement, with about 42 hours of reserve. It comes on an integrated titanium bracelet. Titan quotes CHF 3,000, and Monochrome read it as a sign the brand wants enthusiasts outside India to take it seriously.
