Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT

Tudor built the Pelagos FXD GMT for France's naval aviation, the Aéronautique Navale, and sells the same watch to the public. Monochrome put the question to Tudor directly, and the answer was that the civilian version differs only in its strap. It is a GMT without a GMT hand: the second time zone, meant for Zulu time, is read off a bidirectional 24-hour bezel. The case is Grade 2 titanium with a Grade 5 caseback, 42 mm across and 12.75 mm thick, and the fixed bars take only a one-piece fabric strap, so there is no bracelet to buy later. Inside is Tudor's MT5652-U, certified by both COSC and METAS, with 65 hours of reserve. Monochrome's reviewer found it underwhelming in press photos and came round once it was on the wrist. It lists at $5,475.
