Tudor Pelagos Ultra 1000M

The Pelagos began in 2012 as Tudor's titanium tool diver, and the Pelagos Ultra is the top of the range, rated to 1,000 m with a helium valve at 9 o'clock, alongside rather than instead of the 500 m model. It grows to 43 mm across and 14.5 mm thick, fully satin-finished, with more pronounced notches on the crown and bezel, curved crown guards and a solid Grade 5 titanium caseback. The dial follows the cleaner Pelagos 39, with a sandblasted angled rehaut instead of the 500 m's cut-out flange, Snowflake hands in X1 Super-LumiNova and hour markers of monobloc luminescent ceramic. The MT5612-U is certified by METAS as a Master Chronometer, with high magnetic resistance and a tolerance of 0 to plus 5 seconds a day. It comes on a titanium three-link bracelet with Tudor's T-fit clasp and a diving extension, plus a black rubber strap, and weighs 117 g on the bracelet. It lists at $6,900.
