Casio G-Shock Titanium Virtual Armor GMW-B5000TVB-1
Casio's Virtual Armor watches dress the full-metal G-Shock square up as sci-fi machinery, with laser-engraved instructional labels such as Fine Resin Cushioning and Joint Pin Removal across the case and band. The GMW-B5000TVB-1 followed the more subdued GMW-B5000TVA-1 of October 2021 and adds a geometric camouflage, built up on the titanium case and bracelet in successive masked layers of ion plating. Impress Watch gives the colours as black and brown, while aBlogtoWatch saw silver, black and rose gold. The cutaways beside the lugs show black resin cushioning, the light button and inner bezel carry orange accents, and the display is an inverted LCD, which aBlogtoWatch found harder to read in dim light than the usual positive one. Its reviewer also found it remarkably light to wear. It weighs 106 g, measures 49.3 by 43.2 by 13 mm, and has a sapphire crystal and a mirror-finished, DLC-coated screw-down caseback.
