Panerai Luminor Due 3 Days Titanio 42mm
The Luminor Due arrived in 2016 as Panerai's thinner, dressier Luminor, and PAM00728, which Monochrome went hands-on with in 2017, was the first time its 42 mm case came in titanium. The case is brushed titanium with a polished titanium bezel, 42 mm across and 10.5 mm thick, and it keeps the Luminor's crown-guarding bridge and drilled lugs. The blue sandwich dial has a sunburst finish and pink-gold-coloured hands, and shows only hours, minutes and small seconds. Inside is Panerai's in-house P.1000, a hand-wound calibre with two barrels and three days of reserve, whose small seconds stops and resets to zero for setting the time. Monochrome found it slim enough to sit under a cuff and comfortable thanks to the light metal, but thought 30 m of water resistance meagre from a brand known for dive watches. It came on a blue alligator strap with a pin buckle, and Monochrome gave its launch price as EUR 8,400.
