Zelos Aurora Field 38mm Titanium

Zelos is a Singapore microbrand, and the Aurora Field is its plainest watch: 38 mm, no date, 200 m of water resistance. The Teal version has a hammered, fumé-edged dial that catches the light, which is the one bit of theatre on an otherwise straightforward field watch. The case is Grade 2 titanium with a hardened coating Zelos rates at 1,200 HV, and it comes on a titanium bracelet with a quick-adjust clasp. The movement is Miyota's 9039, the no-date member of the 9000 family, so there is no dead date position when you pull the crown. At 12 mm thick and 46 mm lug to lug it suits a smaller wrist without looking dainty, and $529 buys hardened titanium, sapphire and a titanium bracelet together.
