Praesidus Rec Spec EX Titanium

Praesidus is an American brand, and its Rec Spec takes its design from watches of the Vietnam-era MACV-SOG special operations group. The EX remakes it in Grade 2 titanium, bead-blasted to a matte, non-reflective finish, 38 mm across with the crown at 4 o'clock where it is out of the way and protected. The dial is stripped back in the manner of 1960s mil-spec watches, and on the Ti Gray version Praesidus paints luminous material over the whole dial, leaving the applied indexes unlit for contrast. The other dials are OG Sunray and OG-107. Inside is the TMI NH36 automatic, with hacking seconds, a day-date and 39 hours of reserve. It costs $355.
